"Happy Independence Day..!! May India no longer be 'the third world country' or a 'developing nation' but FIRST WORLD and DEVELOPED !!, " posted Big B in his 'Twitter' account, reflecting his dream to see India as a developed first world nation.
On the other hand legendary singer Asha Bhosle became nostalgic as she tweeted a memorable moment in her life, "Today I remember watching Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad at a political rally in Mumbai. Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind."
Junior Bachchan on the other hand expressed his dream to essay the role of a freedom fighter which got fulfilled as he plays Masterda Surjya Sen in Ashutosh Gowarikar's upcoming venture ''Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey'.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher remarked, "Happy Independence Day to every INDIAN all over the world. Thanks to all those known and unknown indians who helped us achieve it. :)."
Rahul Bose on the other hand celebrated the day by visiting the historical spot at Andaman where Subhas Chandra Bose had unfurled the Tri colour in 1943.
