It's official. AB Corp has shelved it's ambitious venture 'Ranveer' which promised Amitabh and
Abhishek Bachchan together onscreen for the first time.
Raj Kumar Santoshi who was suppose to direct the film says, "Mr Bachchan and I both decided that if
we do a film together it has to be something great and interesting. But it did not shape up the way we
had envisaged."
The script kept changing, with Santoshi showing up to four scripts to Bachchan – none of which
satisfied him. Pressure and expectations on directing father and son kept mounting and filmmaker
remained unhappy.
As a result, AB Corp, which floated the project on the same day as launch decided to call it
quits.
Now the crucial task to presenting the biggest Bs in the industry on-screen is in Ram Gopal Verma's
hand, who has Bachchans for his Godfather remake 'Sarkar'.
