Indian filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra of Munna Bhai series and 3 Idiots fame, has signed Hollywood star Nicolas Cage for his next film titled 'Broken Horses'. The movie is slated to start shooting by early next year.

A source was quoted stating that Vidhu Vinod is now in Los Angeles for some work on 'Broken Horses'. During his stay in Mumbai also, the filmmaker was in touch with his Hollywood contacts for signing the cast and crew. Chopra will be producing the movie in association with Reliance Big Pictures and it is said to be a gangster film.

There is a report that American actor Mickey Rourke has also been approached to play a vital role in 'Broken Horses'. The movie is supposedly inspired from Vidhu Vinod Chopra's award-winning 1989 Indian movie 'Parinda', which starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

The soul of Parinda will remain intact in 'Broken Horses'. However, a diverse set up will be created to explore the same genre.

The production designer Nitin Desai was quoted said that he is now able to say only one thing that he is working on the movie and the rest thing can be best explained by Vidhu Vinod Chopra himself.

When a Hollywood star like Nicolas Cage of Ghost Rider fame has been signed for the movie, it must be good treat for the viewers!
