Bollywood has a huge market in the neighboring country Pakistan and the Bollywood stars have millions of fans there. The Pakistan Government is well aware of the fact and taking this opportunity, it has decided to increase the entertainment tax on Indian films from 30% to a huge 65%.

Moreover, the Government of Pakistan has banned the release of any Indian films during the festival season of Eid. Today, Indian movie 'Dabangg' starring Salman Khan is releasing across the world but it could not be released in Pakistan due to this ban. Salman Khan has a huge fan following in that country and the movie could have done a huge business at this time.

In fact, Pakistan has banned to air all Indian shows on their channels. This news is a bit surprising because the Prime Minister of Pakistan claims to be a huge fan of Indian movies and he expressed his wish to improve relations between the two neighboring countries through cinema.

This double standard of the government towards Indian films and peace process not only affects India's film business but it also keeps their own people away from their favorite movies and stars.

This ban will only increase the illegal ways of watching the movies and it will motivate pirated movie business in both countries!
