Mana Shetty on carrying on the work her mother started, through Araaish, a fundraiser she hosts

Araaish, a fundraiser hosted by siblings Mana Shetty, Rahul Kadri and Isha Mehra will be held on September 21 at Blue Sea, Worli. It is a tribute to their mother, the late Vipula Kadri, in aid of the Save the Children India Foundation.

Great gesture

Says Mana, "I am always excited when Araaish is around the corner. We have had a great run so far and I am looking forward to greater success this year. We think it's a great philanthropic gesture on the part of everyone who has come forward to support Araaish. It's an emotional journey for us to work towards what our mother founded. The funds have gone a long way to securing the children's future."

Some of the fashion industry's well known names stepped up this time as well to support Araaish and will participate in the exhibition. Among them are Surily Goel, Seema Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Malini Agarwalla, Masaba Gupta, Sangeeta Khanna, Aquamarine, Abha Dalmia and a few fashion stores among others.

My pledge

Twinkle Khanna opines, "I pledge my support to Save The Children to collect funds towards vocational training programmes for adolescent girls through their centres in Mumbai to make them economically independent members of society."
