Laughs Kamal, "We all knew it would work. The masala was there in the original, and then we made the necessary adjustments. But I must say I'm taken aback by the success. 'Vasoolraja' is a blockbuster, much bigger than my earlier hit 'Virumaandi'."

Kamal is currently in Bangalore shooting his new thriller "KG". "It's an out-and-out urban film which I haven't done for a while," says the pride of Tamil Nadu. "KG" is being produced by Kamal Haasan's Rajkamal Films along with Mumbai's ace financier Bharat Shah who also co-produced Kamal Haasan's "Hey Ram" in Hindi, Tamil and probably Kannada.
