The late Bollywood comedian Mehmood will be honoured at a mega event in the United States on Nov 20.
The show, titled "Tribute to the Legends of Indian Cinema with the Next Generation", will be held at New Jersey's Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. Mehmood died on July 23 this year.
Old timers of Bollywood will join hands with the new generation of actors at the show.
Kamal Dandona, chairman and CEO of Bollywood Group that is organising the event, said Mehmood was to have taken part in the event when it was originally planned.
"Despite his bad health, he said he would perform at the event," tells Dandona. "We even paid him the signing amount as he was so confident of attending it."
The event would now feature Esha Deol performing song numbers of her "Dream Girl" mother Hema Malini, while Tusshar Kapoor would perform the peppy numbers of his father Jeetendra.
Singers Nitin Mukesh and Amit Kumar would sing the famous numbers of their fathers, Mukesh and Kishore Kumar respectively.
"There is no better or more befitting way to honour the legends than by having today's superstars perform to the golden great hits of generations past," said Dandona.
Pakistan's top star Reema and Zil-e-Huma, daughter of the late Noor Jehan, would also take part.
Television star Tanaz Currim, who would be hosting the event, is already getting ready with her witty script.
"I'm really pepped up about this show and for the very first time I'm also performing an item number on stage," Tanaz said.
