Milan Luthria so wants the actor in his next that he's even willing to alter the script for Ajay

Ajay Devgn has so charmed his Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai director Milan Luthria that he wants him in his next, Ekta Kapoor's Dirty Picture, by hook or by crook. The filmmaker is even ready to re-write the script if his fav actor refuses.

Dirty Picture (DP) is a biopic on yesteryear screen seductress Silk Smitha. Vidya Balan plays the title role. Says a source, "It's the love story between an actress (inspired from south actress Silk Smitha's life) and a director who doesn't compromise his principles for his craft yet falls in love with this woman with a past. Milan feels that Ajay would suit the role of the intense, romantic filmmaker."

The Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (OUATIM) director has told his producer, Ekta that he's writing the role of the director in Dirty Picture keeping the actor's intensity and brooding romantic character in mind. He has also said that if he refuses, he will have to re-write the script as he can see only AJ in this role. Naturally, Ekta is in a tizzy trying to convince the actor to sign on.

Milan says, "Ajay made a huge impact in the romantic portions of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. I'm writing a similar character for DP but with a slightly different take. It's sure to make women go weak in the knees."

He adds, "OUATIM's Sultan was a larger than-life romantic. The lead role opposite Vidya in Dirty Picture is even more enigmatic. I haven't met Devgn yet but I am writing the script keeping him in mind."

A source close to Ajay says, "Milan has approached him for the male lead in DP and given him an idea about the film. He is excited and is waiting to hear the script after Milan completes it. AJ loves doing intense, romantic films but most scripts don't offer him any scope. He's looking forward to the DP script and is flattered that the director is writing it keeping him in mind."
