No, she wasn't offered an item number, but she went in for a complete makeover as she donned the 'sexy on the street, urbane girl' look.
Apparently, Sonakshi was tired of being stereotyped after her first film itself and wanted to go in for a different, fresh look.
The new Bollywood entrant made an appearance at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010 as she walked the ramp for renowned designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed who in association with popular apparel brand Killer launched the 'Killer Nari' Collection.
Sonakshi looked stunning as the showstopper for the evening in grey jeans and a printed ruffled neck short top.
Speaking about the Killer Nari collection, Sonakshi said. "I think Nari is one of the best designers today and his latest collection 'Killer Nari' is uber chic and ultra stylish. I have always been a 'jeans and t-shirt' girl and I think the Killer Nari collection is the ultimate choice for those looking at comfort and fashion wrapped into the same ensemble.
"I thank Nari for giving me jeans look, I absolutely love it and I'm sure my fans and viewers have enjoyed watching me in this new avatar!"
The designer dressed men in colorful candy, jim-jam checks with jodhpuris while the women wore skinny jeans with bright jersey tops with knots displaying the asymmetric hem.
The Killer Nari Collection is all about fun and therefore also has a range of t-shirts with slogans like 'Sex Cells' and 'Been there, dump that'.
