Lara Dutta will do a dance sequence with Tamil-Telugu matinee idol Prashant in a new film.

According to a popular Tamil magazine, Lara said: "I agreed because I too would like to become a mega star like a former Miss World who acted with Prashant."

She was referring to Aishwarya Rai, who danced and acted with him in the Tamil hit "Jeans".

The Tamil film, a remake of Bollywood hit "Khaki", will have Prashant in the role of a police officer.

The actor reportedly plans to visit training units of the Indian police and even the Interpol to prepare himself for the role. This will be his first role as a police officer.

Prashant's father, Thyagarajan, will direct the remake for the family-owned Lakshmi Shanthi Movies.

"Khaki" had several stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Tusshar Kapoor and Aishwarya. The remake is also expected to be star-studded. The names of the other stars, however, will be known only in October.
