Fans of Kishore Kumar will be treated to an unreleased song of the legendary singer on his 23rd death anniversary on Wednesday.
Kishore recorded 'Ladkiyon ko chahiye woh college mein seekhlein', a naughty, situational song, for Madan Mohan in the early 70s for a film that got shelved.
And the song will be released on the website of the versatile composer.
"It is a naughty, situational song and indeed different from the Madanji style of songs. The highlight of the song is the parody element and the comic performing bits by Kishoreda, at which he was unique, " Madan Mohan's son Sanjeev Kohli said.
"This song, once again, brings to the fore the multi-faceted genius of Kishore Kumar, as well as the versatility of Madan Mohan. We have also featured a snippet of Madanji singing as he composed this song, " a statement quoted him as saying about the number which can be heard on the website www.madanmohan.in.
The song was for the film tentatively titled Rehnuma. Another song of the same film 'Aaj mujhe jal jaane bhi do' featured in album 'Tere Bagair', released last year in memory of the composer who gave music to hits like 'Aye haseenon nazneenon', 'Zaroorat hai', 'Simti si sharmayi si' and 'Rahi tha main awaara' that were sung by Kishore. 'Ladkiyon ko chahiye...' was written by Naqsh Lyallpuri and is similar in mood to 'Zaroorat hai'.
