Initially Deepika Padukone had expressed excitement about working with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj. The actress was reportedly signed by Vishal for his next film Dream Sequence and she was excited to be a part of his film. But, the latest reports suggest that Deepika has opted out of the film so the film is again left with no leading lady.

The actress was recently quoted saying that it is like a dream come true as she has got the chance to work in a Vishal Bharadwaj film. But now, the actress has changed her mind as she has walked out of the project.

A buzz is doing the rounds that Deepika was interested to work opposite Saif Ali Khan, who was initially signed to play the male lead in this film. However, Saif moved out of the film and Bharadwaj signed veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah's son Vivaan.

A source was quoted saying that Deepika has opted out without much hassle so there is no problem between her and Vishal. They took this decision mutually with a promise that they will work together in near future.

Vishal reportedly approached Deepika without specifying any date. But recently, when the filmmaker approached Padukone asking for dates it was found that she is packed till next June with two other films. One of them is Rohit Dhawan's film Desi Boys. Vishal wanted her dates in early next year but it was not possible for her. So, all these reasons were put forward for her backing out from this film.

On the other hand, the spokesperson of Vishal has denied signing Deepika for the film. He was quoted saying that she was never signed for the film so no question of her walking out arises.
