Jaya Bachchan held a pre-Karva Chauth mehndi bash for her friends and family; her bahu helped out Jaya Bachchan hosted a mehndi party for the ladies at Jalsa yesterday, a day ahead of Karva Chauth.

While bahu Aishwarya sent out invites, the senior Mrs Bachchan did all the planning for the event. She did it because Ash was busy with promotional activities for Action Replayy.

Among those attending the mehndi bash were Sonali Bendre and her sister-in-law Shrishti Arya, Shefali Shah, Kirron Kher, Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Khan. Aishwarya's mom was also present at the event.
