Ram Gopal Verma's Rakta Chartira has been touted as the most violent and bloody political saga to be ever told in the Hindi film industry.
But still, it has managed to work wonders and has been gaining quite an audience attention over the week. On the other hand, people might have liked John Abraham's new geeky look in Jhootha Hi Sahi instead of the hunk one, but this 'Friends' inspired Hugh Grant type of a comedy of a person who keeps on lying for love has failed to work at the box office.
Unlike the Rakta Charitra, where one has to take their eyes off the screen because of the blood-bath and the brutal scenes, watching John Abraham is a treat. But the eye-candy is not all the audience is looking for in a film, unfortunately.
While Jhootha Hi Sahi still had a story and still has few things working in its favor, Mallika Sherawt's much hyped Hiss regrettably has nothing to offer, no good story, or really amazing visuals, or some extra-ordinary special effects. So, at the end of the week it just might be Rakta Charitra working, bringing out the audience response and making them see the reality.
