After her last release Hisss was ignored by audiences, Mallika Sherawat is no longer in demand. Not for films, and not even for her New Year's Eve performance. The actress lost her fan following when she vanished to the US for almost two years.

The audience has a short memory, and they've already replaced her in their affections. A source reveals, "Hotels have started sending feelers to top actresses for performances but Mallika doesn't feature on any list this year."

C'mon girl, take the cue and get back to doing a masala film or two. And oh, also stay away from tacky commercials, which make us want to switch off our television sets.
