Anil Kapoor is working out rigorously in London to keep fighting fit and to keep up with younger actors Ajay Devgn and Zayed Khan.
Kapoor returns to action flicks with Priyadarshan's Tezz and is expected to shoot for some high-voltage action sequences.
Says a source close to Anil, "Tezz has car chases, running around and a lots of parkour. The last time, Anil did hardcore action was in Sanjay Gupta's Musafir, over six years ago.
The actor developed bursitis in his ankle (too much strenuous activity like jumping and running causes joint pain) and had to stop doing action flicks.
Whenever he had to do action sequences that involved running, he'd get a nagging pain in his heel, his ankle would swell and he couldn't move. He'd have to put his leg on ice and take a 10-day break."
He is now fit for action duty. "Because of the bursitis, AK focused more on comedies. But he's much better now and is training in London.
And though he hasn't taken his trainer along on this schedule, he works out twice at the gym in his hotel."
Moreover, co-stars Ajay Devgn and Zayed Khan are 10 years younger. The source adds, "There are lots of chase sequences which also involve parkour.
Anil has been doing the running sequences himself and wanted to be as fit as Ajay and Zayed. He's having a blast working with the two actors."
There are scenes where the older actor has to chase them and he didn't want to appear out of breath in those scenes.
"While Ajay is over eight years younger than him, Zayed is even younger. Anil doesn't want to tell anybody that he can't keep pace with the younger lot, so he's keeping himself as fit as possible."
This week, Anil leaves for Dubai to start shooting for Mission Impossible 4.
