Deepika Padukone has been seen wearing glasses (not of the dark kind) of-late. The actress was spotted at two different movie trials wearing chashma.

First at the special screening of Break Ke Baad and later at a private preview of Guzaarish. Here the actress talks about her ainak.

What's with the glasses?
I have a low number, so I thought why not make it stylish. I'm having fun wearing these glasses.

Are they for the film's promotion?
No, I am not wearing glasses in any of my forthcoming releases. They are definitely not for film promotion.

Since when do you have a number?
I have had basic power of 0.25 for a while. But I didn't want that to increase so I started wearing the glasses.

How come you've now started wearing them to events?
I am short-sighted. So I carry them with me for watching a movie or when driving.

No worries about guys not making passes at girls with glasses?
Not at all, I think glasses are quite sexy and people have said some really nice things about me wearing them.

In the film, he wore a silver-framed pair. After the film's release, the Junior Bachchan stopped wearing them in public. John Abraham aped his Dostana co-star when it was time for Jhootha Hi Sahi to release.

The actor had a geeky look in the film, which included a pair of spectacles. He attended several promotional events wearing black-rimmed glasses. Once the film bombed, John ditched the geeky look and returned to his handsome avatar.
