The world of Twitter is slated to turn 'evergreen' as Bollywood superstar Dev Anand has joined the popular micro blogging site last week.

It is hardly five-six days since he has joined Twitter (on Nov 26) and already he has 1, 310 fans following him.

"Thanks Amit for welcoming me on twitter. . . Luv u. . . , " tweeted Anand to Big B, who was one of the persons to welcome him in the world.

Like all other Bollywood stars who call their account in unique ways, Dev Anand has also given his account an unique identity, as he calls it: "itsmedevanand".

'Evergreen' Dev Anand, as he is popularly called by his fans, is already following large numbers of celebrity twitterati, which includes names like Amitabh Bachchan, Javed Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan, Lata Mangeshkar, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Asha Bhosle, Pritish Nandy, sharing his thoughts on a number of issues and topics.

"This sudden tweeting is for my well wishers to know that release of my latest film "Chargesheet" is planned for early next year.

Legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar had earlier tweeted: "saw Dev anand's romantic songs on a channel in black&white but I haven't seen a more colourful hero. Fashion icon of my college days. "

The colourful Dev Anand replied back to him: "Thanks for all your love and admiration for me and my songs you are always in my thoughts too and I love you for all the creative work you have been doing. ''

Known for his skillfull acting and his earnest love towards cinema, Dev Anand's tries to share with his fans about his upcoming film projects and thoughts.

A hard working actor, Dev Anand is still creating more films for his fans and his upcoming movie 'Chargesheet' will release early next year.
