The actor shows up to sets of a show early (yes, early!) for a special appearance, leaves in a huff without staging his act

Known for his latecoming, Govinda arrived almost an hour in advance for his performance on the soap Saas Bina Sasural on Sunday evening.

He took everyone by surprise, but then left them in shock when he decided to make an exit without staging his act!

The maverick actor had been roped in to dance for a wedding episode of the Sony soap which also had the Band Baaja Baaraat duo of Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh besides Tanushree Dutta performing.

Quick exit

Govinda had been asked by the channel and the show's producers (Vipul D Shah and Sanjiv Sharma of Optimystix) to arrive at Vrindavan Studios at Madh Island at 6 pm. He reached a little after 5 pm and sat in his vanity van. The star later began posing for the waiting shutterbugs and then left without informing anyone.

According to the channel, "The star was jointly approached by the channel and the producers and was being paid his industy price. When he suddenly left, he refused to answer any calls and later switched off his mobile. "

No contract!

Govinda has a different story to relate. He says, "They (the producers) were to get back to my secretary with a contract. I arrived early that day and waited in my van for an hour but the contract never came.

What came in its place wasn't acceptable to me at all so I walked out. The contract they had drawn up was something completely different from what I had agreed to. "

The actor affirms, "I wasn't paid anything. Ask them to show the contract! That will reveal the truth. They are giving out these stories to promote their show. "
