Confirming the news to the media is the cult actor Dev Anand himself, who says that he has often heard several generations speaking about Hum Dono, therefore it will be his pleasure to introduce the film to the international audience.
The black and white version of Hum Dono hit theaters in India in the year 1961. The film was a hit as per box office standards, also bringing in a Filmfare best actor nomination for Dev Anand.
The film sees veteran actor Dev Anand in a double role opposite leading ladies Sadhana and Nanda, with Leela Chitnis also part of the star cast. The film's screenplay was by Vijay Anand, the younger brother of Dev Anand.
Hum Dono will be released in its color version as part of the celebrations of Navketan Films completing 62 years of cinematic excellence in the country.
Since the Dev Anand starrer has been one of the most popular films released on behalf of the production house, the Navketan Films authorities decided to release the film in color version for the new age audience. Technology borrowed from the US has been used to make the brand new Hum Dono even more appealing to the Indian and international audience.
