"We have done many films together. And those films have done very well at the box office. Hope this film will also do well, " Akshay told mediapersons here Saturday.
He was all praise for the actress and said she has done a commendable job in B-town.
"Six-seven years ago she came from London to Bollywood. She couldn't speak a single word of Hindi. But it's really a big achievement that this girl has today attained such a huge success in this industry, " the actor said.
"All this is because of the love and affection you have given to her. Hats off to her success in Bollywood, " he said.
Akshay and Katrina were in Kolkata for the promotion of "Tees Maar Khan", which is slated to release Dec 24.
