Aladdin: I was obsessed with the Aladdin movies because the animation was fabulous and as a kid, I was always super engrossed and completely drawn into that world. I would imitate their voices and even try my best to imitate their expressions.

One of the strongest features of the film was the music. To this day I remember the tune and words to Arabian Nights and A Whole New World. Everything from Jasmine to Aladdin to the magic carpet and the genie (my favourite) was amazing.

Mughal-e-Azam: My parents (Kamal Haasan and Sarika) loved Mughal-e-Azam and my mom loves it more than any other person I've ever met. So, naturally, it became a part of my cinematic diet.

As a kid, black-and-white films would make me restless but that was not the case with this flick. I was super fascinated by Prithviraj Kapoor's voice and thought Madhubala was angelic. And I loved the woman who played Bahaar!

She sticks out in my memory! It was such an epic story and even as a kid, I found it so grand and surreal! As I grew older and heard all the stories surrounding the making of the film -- how long it took and about Madhubala's chains being real... all of it fascinated me even more!

Pushpak: This is my all-time favourite movie of my dad's. I adored it as a kid and I still do. Since it was a silent film with no dialogues it was so powerful visually and I remember so many scenes --especially the funny ones! It was such an innocent love story and such a well-made film. I still watch it over and over again and am so amazed at how they pulled it off.

Jurassic Park: I remember watching Jurassic Park with my family in Singapore. I was also learning about dinosaurs in school and no movie has left me so wonder-struck till this day! I had never ever seen anything like it!

It was a visual spectacle and a beautiful story too! It was technically unbelievable and even though I didn't know much about the making of movies when I was younger I could see all the work that went into filming it! I love the film! The background score was also remarkable, especially the theme.

The Party: I still laugh till my stomach hurts every time I see it. Peter Sellers was stunning and hilarious! I can never forget a single dialogue and even thinking about it makes me laugh till my insides hurt. I loved the heroine of the film as well and thought she was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen as a kid. She sings such a beautiful song in the film... one that I still hum.
