In a bid to outdo the extravaganza that fans of megastar Amitabh Bachchan unveiled on his birthday recently, admirers of Bollywood's reigning superstar Shah Rukh Khan have gone a step ahead to make a film on the life of their icon.

As part of the week-long celebrations lined up around his birthday on November two, fans would begin shooting the 30 minute documentary film on 'king' Khan from Monday.

"The film, being promoted by SRK's production house Dreamz Unlimited, will be released in various short film festivals across India and abroad and the money generated will be donated to charitable bodies," said secretary of the Shah Rukh Khan Fans Club Arnab Roy.

To be shot in Mumbai by Khan's long time associate and director Aziz Mirza and in Kolkata by the 25-year-old Roy, the film will chronicle the star's career and his relationship with fans.

"Besides the regular interviews with producers and directors as well as film clips, we will portray the friendly relation which SRK has with all his fans," Roy said.

The fans also plan to send the film to Madame Tussaud's with a fond wish to see their hero immortalised in wax.

Roy, who heads the club of over 175 members, said the film will also help position Khan as Bollywood's brand ambassador in world cinema.

The grand birthday party has been intelligently planned a day ahead on November one.

The reason? "We want to wish him on the midnight of November one. So unless the party is a day ahead, the media won't be able to carry our message to him," Roy explains.

The festivities have been christened 'SRK Utsav' from November one to 12.

Coinciding with the release of Yash Chopra's SRK starrer Veer-Zaara on November 12, the club would distribute T-shirts, headbands, caps and other memorabilia from Khan's films to all new members.

The club had created waves last year by dedicating a similar week-long carnival to Khan, who made a special appearance at a star-studded function to receive his life size fibre glass likeness sculpted by a city artiste.

An SRK museum, which houses Khan's clay bust, his latest interviews in leading film magazines, real life photographs, myriad collections by his fans, a book on 'Ashoka' and lots of other interesting nuggets, was also unveiled.

The zealous fans also floated their own event management company 'Dreamlightz' - a takeoff from SRK's two production houses Dreamz Unlimited and Arclightz.
