Diwali is just around the corner but the fireworks have already started in Bollywood. The first to drop the bomb is Kareena Kapoor.
In her mighty blow, the fiery babe has facilitated the exit of arch rival and already battered Amisha Patel from the Hrithik Roshan show, scheduled in Hong Kong on November 6, where the two were slated to share the stage.
A visibly upset Rakeshnath, Amisha's business manager says, "Amisha had agreed to be a part of the team on Akshaye Khanna's request. But Bunty Behl, who has organized the show told me, Kareena had been roped in and asked Amisha to be dropped. How unfair!"
However Kareena vehemently denies her involvement in the entire episode and says, "I had nothing to do with the organiser's decision. It was their decision. I have nothing against Amisha. She is a nice girl. I was out of town when someone informed me that Amisha was no longer doing the show. I would never stoop so low to throw another actress out of a show."
But the recent turn of events doesn't surprise many. The rivalry between the duo dates back to the days when Kareena was unceremoniously dropped from ‘Kaho Na Pyar Hai' and Amisha took her place.
Try and remind Bebo about the chequered relationship she shared with Patel and she vents out her displeasure about the comments Amisha made about her in a film glossy a few months ago.
"Amisha called me a prostitute in print. I was very hurt and deeply upset by this. She was asked if she was offered Chameli and she said she didn't do it because she didn't like the character but I did it because that is what my character is - a prostitute.
It is ethically wrong for any woman to call another a prostitute. She has a right to comment on my looks, roles or acting but not my character!"
So did Kareena actually pave the way for Patel's exit?
"Never. I just told them I am very hurt that she called me a prostitute in print. You decide what you have to do. Why should I interfere in their decisions," she says.
