While many Bollywood starlets relish their reel vamp image, Priyanka Chopra has earned the reputation of being one in the real life.
Touted as 22-year-old sassy marriage wrecker, Chopra earned this moniker when she was named the 'other' woman in Akshay's life amidst the accusations from her own secretary Prakash Jaju. But thanks to her lucky stars, the mist was cleared and Akshay managed to save his marriage.
Now when everything is clear, Priyanka has decided to display her real life skills on the reel. She is playing the bad girl for the time in Mukta Art's ‘Aitraaz' directed by Abbas-Mustan.
"Kajol has done it and Shah Rukh, too. I play Sonia who is a very ambitious girl, who is in love with Akshay (Kumar)'s character. She breaks up with him, because she doesn't want to get tied down by marriage. Later, when she's achieved her ambitions, she wants him back, even though he's married," she points out.
Though a tough role for any actor, Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to make it look authentic.
"I've also changed my voice to make it sound authentic and enhance the role. I've changed my clothes, my look, even the characteristics," she insists.
Ask her about the great chemistry with Akshay and she dodges the topic by saying," What you see in the promos are the hottest scenes in the film. So dont go expecting any more. It's the story and the treatment that will glue you to your seat."
