A low budget film produced by Prakash Jha and made by the debutant director and Jha's longtime assistant Alankrita Srivastav. The film stars Gul Panag in the lead with Purab Kohli, the male protagonist. Though a women centric film, Kohli holds a pivotal role in the Rs. 3.5 crore budget film.
The film deals with Naina (Gul) trying to come in terms with her life as she turns 30, there is heartbreak, job crisis along with the physical changes that haunts her too. It is heart-warming, funny journey of a woman along with her two friends and how they try to surpass this barrier that all of a sudden seemed to be posed by the age.
Alankrita said that even though Dharmendra's Yamla Pagla Deewana is releasing on the same day but since the two genres are different and deals with totally varied subjects both will find its audience. Already the chic promo with different subject is making waves among the niche viewers and it is expected that the film will get a strong foothold.
The director went on to say that the film actually talks about the real problems that many women in their 30s face. Since, there are quite a lot of women who are still trying to find the right job, do not have the established life that they wish and people around them too start questions. It is a time of self-assessment and getting out of the barrier too.
