Salman Khan wants to re-do his vanity van. The focus is on comfort and not on luxury. Brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri will help him redesign it"

Salman Khan isn't high-maintenance. The actor, who still lives in a one-bedroom apartment, chooses comfort over luxury. That preference stays the same, now that he wants to have his vanity van re-designed.

He's owned the vehicle for years, and it serves as his changing, living and sleeping room whenever he is shooting.

But he feels that it needs to be upgraded. Helping him in this 'makeover' is his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.

Sacred space

Most actors, who spend more hours at work, than they do at home, and their vanity van is a sacred space.

It's a home away from home. But it's more than that. It is also an office where they meet guests during shooting.

A gym it carries their gym equipment.

And a hideout place from the ever-present paparazzi. An actor's van has everything from his clothes and accessories to the precious laptop the connection to the world outside when holed up on a film shoot.

A source reveals, "Salman needs his van around when he is shooting. If at all there's a day when he can't use the van, it affects his mood.

When he started off, the van was basic without any major utilities. But today it has a plasma, DVD player, and even a gaming console."

Salman's major complaint is the fact that the van isn't too comfortable for long journeys. He wants it to be like a van that singers use for their cross-country tours.

Adds the insider, "His major grouse is that it makes a lot of noise and isn't travel-friendly on long journeys."

Recently his BIL (brother-in-law) had dropped in on the sets of Ready when the actor was shooting for a fight sequence. "After a recce of the van, Khan showed Atul exactly what he wanted to be changed.

He wants a bigger bed, more comfortable lounge space for visitors and doesn't want any unnecessary or unwanted furniture.

His stress was on the utility aspect than the way it looks. And once the design will be approved, the changes will be implemented." sign. But, Pooja Bedi who had hired the services of Anita since years was very confident about her loyalty and refused to listen to Anuradha's remarks.

The last day of the 'Maa Exchange' program saw both busy in their own way. Anuradha painted a big canvas for Pooja's house with her daughter Aalia's help and she even got some paintings of hers framed thereby making Pooja's daughter quite happy.

Pooja too changed the complete look of Anuradha's house and made it look like a dream house compared to the dust and filth that it was when she had first walked in.

In the end, each one walked out a winner as each mother had learnt something from the experience and each learnt to appreciate what was there in her life with greater enthusiasm. Great show!
