The Bollywood heartthrob and grandson of legendary Indian singer Mukesh, Neil Nitin Mukesh, turns 29 on Saturday.

Unlike the other emerging stars of Bollywood like Ranbir and Imran, Neil's movies have never made a great impact in B-Town but his acting skills have received appreciations from his fans.

Here are some of the interesting facts about the actor.

It is said that Neil Nitin Mukesh's name was given by legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar after astronaut Neil Armstrong, as his father was a big fan of Neil Armstrong.

Before becoming a hero, he had assisted Aditya Chopra in his film 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge', while he was still in college at that time.

It is said that he had received several offers as a lead actor but Neil did not want to make his B-town debut in a love story, so he waited for the perfect film that suited his choice.
