"I was studying for my IAS when I realised that I have to take up acting. It was difficult for my parents to digest since I am the only child. It took me 10 months to convince them and finally they allowed me to do it," Avinash told.
"When I arrived here (in Mumbai), I didn't even know where would I live. I consider myself lucky to have finally found a platform. I believe I have been at a perfect place at a perfect time," he added.
The 24-year-old made his television debut in 2008 with Balaji Telefilms' "Khwaish". However, it was his stint in "Chhoti Bahu" that made him a household name. The second season of the show with a fresh storyline is set to hit screens Feb 15.
The actor is in no rush to make money and wants to do quality work.
"I want to do quality work instead of quantity. I want to really wait and wait for chances that are coming in life, absorb them and take them in a good way. It's not all about making money I want to do quality work," he said.
