Why Rajat Bharmecha agreed to make his second appearance on screen with a cameo act in a Anurag Kashyap's Shaitan

Post-Udaan, Rajat Bharmecha makes his second appearance in a cameo role in Anurag Kashyap's Shaitan.

Directed by debutant Bijoy Nambiar, the film will see the young actor in a naya avatar. Rajeev Khandelwal and Kalki feature in lead roles.

Says Rajat, "It's the complete opposite of the Rohan you see in Udaan. I did this cameo for Anurag because he's my mentor. It's a small role but the character is extremely interesting and stays with you even after the movie ends."

Despite his dry run (in the Best Debutant category) at award functions, Bharmecha isn't sulking. "People have been asking me if I am upset for not winning.

But I am thrilled that Udaan has made a mark.

I keep getting offers for roles very similar to the one I played in Udaan, but I don't want to repeat myself. Hopefully I should get something challenging and different very soon."
