Boom..It's 100-year love tale

Filmmaker Kaizad Gustad is making a new film called "Beatrice and Bombil" based on a script he has just finished writing.

"It's a love story spanning 100 years," tells Gustad here, where he is participating in a 20-day car rally from India to Indonesia starting Tuesday.

"It's the story of the love between a man from the East, from India in fact, and a woman from the West," said the 30-something filmmaker who first shot to fame with his 1999 film "Bombay Boys".

Gustad is looking to cast an Indian actor and a Western actress in the title roles. "I've just finished writing the script. Now I'm getting into the casting mode."

The last year has not been good for the filmmaker. His big budgeted "Boom" with Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan flopped and during his next project "Mumbai Central", his assistant director was killed, hit by a suburban train during a shoot at a Mumbai station.

Gustad was arrested after the death of 27-year-old British Pakistani Nadia Khan and is out on bail.

He and his four-member core international team participating in the rally has been sponsored by auto major Mahindra & Mahindra and they would be shooting a documentary on the rally that ends Dec 11 at Batam in Indonesia.

"We are driving a Scorpio (the SUV from the Mahindra stable)," said Gustad.
