Ramesh Sippy is tipped to be the new Censor Board chief. Incumbent Sharmila Tagore's term is drawing to a close and the Information & Broadcasting Ministry has already started the process of finding a replacement for the hot seat.

This is Tagore's second term as head of the film certification body. Though Shabana Azmi's and Gulzar's names recently did the rounds, the Sholay director's name has emerged as the most probable choice.
