The Bryan Adams concert in Delhi was cancelled, will be held at a later date after he returns from Bangladesh and Nepal

The Bryan Adams concert in Delhi that was to be held yesterday was cancelled due to heavy rains. The rains made it logistically impossible to hold the concert at the stadium.

Now the concert is being shifted to a later date. After the singer returns from Bangladesh and Nepal, he will hit the stage in the capital city.

Delhi will have to wait, even as Bangalore and Mumbai were swept off their feet by the Summer of 69 singer.

Sunil Shetty is thrilled with the response to the shows as it makes a big difference to his NGO, Save The Children.

The Bryan Adams series of shows are being organised by Sunil Shetty and Sujit Jain of Netsurf Entertainment.

A spokesperson from Netsurf confirms, "The organizers are working towards finalizing an alternate venue and date to re-schedule the Bryan Adams concert in New Delhi since public safety is a priority.

The unexpected rains coupled with the overwhelming public response for the show has made the venue unsafe. Adams is keen to perform in New Delhi and not disappoint his fans.

For customers who have booked tickets online and through retail outlets, please do not go to the NSIC venue to pick up your tickets.

Details of the new venue, date and time will be available later this evening.

Should customers choose not to attend the rescheduled concert, their ticket purchases will be refunded. The process of ticket exchanges/refunds will also be announced soon.

While a certain part of the proceeds of the Bryan Adams concert goes to Save The Children another part will go to Adams own NGO, The Bryan Adams Foundation.

The source adds, "His NGO seeks to protect the most vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals in society, particularly to advance education and learning opportunities for children and young people worldwide.

Sunil is very impressed with Bryan and the work that his NGO is doing. Off the shows Bryan is very soft-spoken, quiet and reserved. He conserves his energy and explodes on stage."

Though the Delhi concert got cancelled Sunil however has reason to smile. A donation check of $10, 000 per show was given to the Bryan Adams Foundation.

A cheque of R15 lakh was handed to Save The Children Foundation India after Bryan Adams Live In Concert India Tour in Mumbai.
