On Shiamak Davar's recent visit to the sets of Zee TV's dance reality show DID Doubles, mentor Geeta Kapur narrated an interesting incident involving Shiamak that gave the audience a feel of what the trend-setting choreographer really is as a person! Apparently, some years back, when she was a part of Farah's troupe as a background dancer performing at an awards show, she finished rehearsing on stage and noticed that Shiamak had landed up with his team and were waiting to start their rehearsals. Recounting the incident, Geeta told the audience, "We'd always been in awe of Shiamak and his school of dance as they were always a class apart! And more often than not, people who are immensely successful at what they do have a certain arrogance about them. "So, on seeing him there, we thought it would be best to wrap up our rehearsals and quickly disperse than to have any of his team members throw attitude at us. What happened after that, however, changed the way I looked at Shiamak forever!" Apparently, as Geeta descended the stairs, Shiamak looked at her and singling her out from amongst 80 other dancers, told her that she was brilliant up there and that he'd be happy to have her join his company if she ever looks to move. A naturally overwhelmed Geeta still remembers how touched she'd felt by that one compliment from Shiamak and realized that beneath all the style, flamboyance and chutzpah, Shiamak was an extremely humble, down-to-earth man with his heart in the right place.
