With the script of "Trishul" now in its final stages, producer Gaurang Doshi is planning to start work on the film early next year.

The buzz is that the title of the film is being changed and Doshi has confirmed both Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan for the film. However the director of the film, Sriram Raghavan (of "Ek Haseena Thi" fame) revealed that the cast of the film is yet to be finalized.

"We are in the process of finalising it and are planning to commence the film very soon," Raghavan revealed. Hrithik's business manager, Ashok Vashodia, did not deny having had talks with the producer of the film.

"Hrithik is clear about completing his home-production first before he starts shooting anything else, which would be only after October or November 2005," Vashodia revealed.
