FICCI Frames ended on a high note with Hugh Jackman sharing the dais with Bollywood biggies Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.
Also, it was an interesting moment to behold as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan came face-to-face for the first time since their Chalte Chalte fallout.
Hugh and SRK had the audience in splits. They shared a crackling chemistry, which was evident. Their witty one-liners and comebacks were the highlights of the evening.
At one point, the two even had a mutual-admiration phase. Shah Rukh went as far as to say that his upcoming superhero flick Ra. One is inspired by Hugh's superhero films.
He also told the X-Men actor that he is the hottest superhero. Shah Rukh said that Hugh "offered" him a film as an actor and that he would love for him to do it.
To this, Jackman retorted saying he actually wanted him as the film's financier. SRK even made Hugh dance to Madhuri Dixit's Dhak Dhak song and the H-Town star sportingly obliged.
Cold Vibes
Ash and Shah Rukh shared the platform but the cold vibes were very apparent.
An eyewitness says, "They didn't even exchange pleasantries. What was a bit strange was that Aishwarya came on stage only for five minutes to introduce Hugh Jackman and give him a token of appreciation and for the rest of the session was seated with the audience. "
On receiving the bouquet from Ash, Jackman said, "I was told I'd be given a token of appreciation by the most beautiful woman in the world and I thought it to be my wife.
After taking a pause he added, "But it was great to receive it from the most beautiful actress but not the beautiful woman because that's my wife. "
Sallu song
An AV was played with Hugh Jackman's clips with Bollywood songs and guess what! One of the songs was from SRK's archrival Salman Khan's film Dabangg. SRK had no choice but to laugh.
Closing speech
FICCI Chairman Yash Chopra was sidelined while Karan Johar took centre stage at the event. Yash Chopra came onstage in the end, only to give the thank-you speech.
Where's the party?
An awards show followed where SRK won Best Actor, Karan won Best Director and Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh won Best Debutants. Ash won the Decade of Global Achievement award. An afterparty followed at the venue.
Another bash is being organised by the Australian consulate in honour of Jackman.
A source reveals, "Shah Rukh and Karan Johar will be attending the consulate party as well. "
B-Townies spotted
Abhinav Kashyap was also at the event as was Australian director Bill Bennett. Vidya Balan made a late appearance, even getting jiggy with Hugh.
