The actor is in discussion for a full-fledged rom-com

Neil Nitin Mukesh has done action, thrillers and dramas, but not a proper romantic comedy.

The actor is in talks with Kunal Kohli to sign his very first rom-com. When it happens, it will be his very first attempt at doing a romantic film.

Even though he's romanced Katrina Kaif in New York, it was more of a serious role. Kohli is considering either Deepika or Sonam as the leads opposite him.

A source close to Neil confirms, "Yes he's going to sign a romantic comedy soon. Not many know that he has an amazing sense of humor. Neil has most of his co-stars in splits on the set.

He will do a great job at attempting the genre.

It will also be a light hearted role for the actor. Most of his roles be it Johnny Gaddar, New York or Lafangey Parindey have had serious over tones. This one will show case the romantic side of him. "

Kunal Kohli will direct the film and he's considering casting either Sonam or Deepika opposite the actor. While he's worked with Deepika in LP, this would be his first film with Kapoor if she's cast.
