Politician Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag's B-Town debut opposite Kangna Ranaut One And Only is stuck. Shooting schedules for the flick have been cancelled at least thrice in the past.
B-Town sources blame the delay on burgeoning costs of making the film. The Paswans, who are also financing the film, need to pump in more moolah to revive shooting.
Says a source, "Chirag and his father need to take a call and put things in perspective. It looks like the glitter of B-Town has enamoured the newbie."
Adds the source, "Due to budget issues, the film was shot largely in Mumbai. The last schedule can be wrapped up soon but post-production costs and publicity budgets are also a big question-mark."
The film's cast includes Kabir Bedi, Sagarika Ghatge and Neeru Bajwa. The actors are clueless as the shooting is incomplete.
The Bihar neta's son was launched with much fanfare four years ago but the film went on floors only last year. The delay was attributed to the youngster's B-Town grooming.
OAO is being directed by Tanveer Khan (who earlier made Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante and Madhoshi) and is being produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions. Buzz was that Kangna was paid Rs 5 crore in acting fees to act opposite the newbie!
When reached for comment, director Tanveer Khan told us to call two days later, as he was unwell. Chirag remained unavailable for comment.
