The iconic T-Series building, which has been standing tall since the time it was build by the company's founder late Gulshan Kumar 25-years-ago, will be pulled down soon and a plush, multi-storied structure will come up as its place.
A source close to Bhushan Kumar, CEO of the company, said, "The building was constructed by T-Series head honcho late Gulshan Kumar.
Those days, T-Series was just a music company. There was a recording studio, which has now become redundant. Also, the architecture of the building is behind times. "
The source added that now, the company has grown quite big. "It has also ventured into film production. There is paucity of space to accommodate the company's staff that has grown many folds.
Hence, Bhushan is planning to demolish the structure and construct a posh, hi-tech commercial tower in its place, " he added.
Another source revealed that the company is coming up with another building near the existing one. "The construction work is about 75 per cent complete. The company will operate from this building till the time the new tower is build. "
Confirming the development, Kumar said, "We do plan to demolish the old structure and construct a new building. However, there's quite some time for it. "
