In fact the desi super-hero flick's producers Walt Disney plan to promote Darsheel globally as the youngest super-hero in the world.
Says a source close to the project, "The producers want to market Zokkomon as an ongoing global franchise. Soon after the first film Walt Disney Production will start another Zokkomon film with Darsheel in the lead. They would've liked nothing better than to introduce Darsheel to the international audience at at the festival in Los Angeles. "
Pardoxically the face of Zokkomon would be missing at the festival. Darsheel's father Mitesh attributes Darsheel's inability to attend his first international festival to time constraints.
"Darsheel would have to be in India to promote Zokkomon. The entire process of going to LA would've taken a minimum of three days. That's why he is not going to LA. I'm sure he'll have many opportunities in the future to represent his cinema abroad. "
Anupam Kher who has a double role of the good and the evil character in Zokkomon would be representing the film at the Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles. Anupam too feels Darsheel ought to be in LA.
"He plays the title role and the youngest super-hero in the world. We have Superman, Spiderman and Batman. But they're all grownup. This super-hero is targeted at kids and therefore special. Darsheel is such a fine actor. He gave me a tough time in front of the camera. I've no clue why Darsheel isn't coming to LA. "
