Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Ferrari Ki Sawaari has finally gone on the floors. The film marks the directorial debut of Rajesh Mapuskar, a Rajkumar Hirani protege. The film stars Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in the lead roles. Chopra and Hirani have put their respective projects on hold to oversee the work on FKS.
In fact Hirani is so kicked about the project that he personally went behind the camera and canned the second shot of the film on the first day.
A source reveals, "The film went on floors at the University of Mumbai. Raju turned up to show his support. Everyone was very excited to see Chopra and Hirani making sure the first day went well."
Mapuskar asked his mentors to can two opening shots of the film. He says, "I'm very grateful to Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raju sir for all their help, they were the perfect people to give the first shots of my film."
Says Hirani, "I'm very proud of Rajesh. He's been my assistant for long, and it is very heartening to see him direct his first film."
