Each will revolve around romance

He's made a career of romantic flicks. With films like Hum Tum, Fanaa and Break Ke Baad and an upcoming love story with Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as part of his body of work, Kunal Kohli will now produce love stories for the small screen.

Says Kunal, "MTV approached me to make three love stories of 45 minutes each for them. They thought I would be perfect for the job because I have made romantic films. Last year, SRK's Red Chillies produced the films."

New talent

He adds, "I was excited. We will get to nurture new talent as the actors will be cast through a reality show on the channel. We've asked aspiring actors to send in entries." While Kohli will produce these films, he won't direct them.

"I have set up the directorial team and selected three short stories which will be adapted into films." Will he sit in on the auditions? "No. I am simply there as the face of the talent hunt. But I will certainly be working behind the scenes."

The show begins in a couple of months.
