Newly wed, Nikhil Dwivedi was denied his honeymoon with wife Gauri to Cape Town in South Africa by producer Ekta Kapoor.

Dwivedi, who is featured in Kapoor's Shor in The City, had to cancel his plans at the last moment as the producer wanted him to stay back to promote the film.

Our source tells us, "Nikhil had to cancel his hotel bookings and tickets. He was to leave on his honeymoon, by April 10, however he had to change his plans because Shor In The City releases this month.

Ekta wanted him around to be a part of the film promotions, since he plays one of the lead roles. He tried to persuade her that it was his honeymoon but Ekta did not pay any heed to his request.

Finally, Nikhil had to convince his wife to postpone the honeymoon by some days." For Nikhil's sake, we hope, the film does really well.
