Shilpa Shetty to fly Bollywood friends to Rajasthan to drum support for her IPL team
The Rajasthan Royals, Shilpa Shetty's Indian Premier League (IPL) team with husband Raj Kundra as co-owner, may have
suffered defeat at the hands of Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders last week but that hasn't curbed her enthusiasm.
The actress will fly her celebrity friends to Jaipur via a chartered flight for RR's clash with the Pune Warriors on May 1 to support
her team.
Says a source, "What Shilpa wants, Raj gets her. He called up all her friends and specially invited them. A chartered plane will
fly them from Mumbai to Jaipur, they will catch the match and will return to Mumbai the same night.
Arrangements
have been made for their stay in the Pink City. Shilpa has also invited close friend Salman Khan, but he's busy shooting for
Bodyguard. He may well show up if the shoot wraps up early. In any case, he will be represented by his brothers Sohail and
Arbaaz."
While Shetty's XI have other matches lined up, the one with PW is a big match for Shetty-Kundra.
The source
reveals the reason for their popularity: "They're a great couple and people have fun at their parties. Raj personally calls up
everyone and takes the initiative every time. They are creating a strong bond with B-Town celebs in a positive way."
Though Shilpa is laid low with a neck spasm and is wearing a collar for it, she's meticulously planning the party and get-
together with great gusto.
