First teaser of 'Bbuddah -- Hoga Terra Baap' promises to bring back Amitabh Bachchan -- in his angry man image

The first teaser of Viacom 18 and AB Corp's Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap promises to bring back Amitabh Bachchan in his angry man image.

Says a production source, "The marketing campaign begins today. The producers want to go all out to create maximum buzz around the film.

They have put together an interesting teaser that features AB Sr in his 'angry young man avatar', followed by him singing the title line Bbuddah hoga terra baap."

"The print teasers use AB's silhouettes, dialogues, styles and images from some of his cult films like Deewar, Agneepath, Shahenshah and Hum which will finally lead up to his new look in Bbuddah and will be unveiled on May 16.

The entire campaign is designed in a way to resurrect Big B's angry young man days and the film itself will portray him in a way that audiences haven't seen in a really long time. He plays the 'angry old man' who's still young at heart."

"In Bbuddah..., AB's character returns as the angry old man. The line of the campaign is the return of the baap as AB is the baap of everyone.

We plan to release the first look in a 60 second promo on eight TV channels during the Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians IPL match (for the first time) on May 20. One of his dialogues will be 'aaj bhi mein pheke hue paise nahi uthaata!"

Bbuddah releases on July 1. PS: The timing of all this makes us wonder if this is meant to steal the thunder from a remake of one of AB Sr's 'angry' era flicks.

BEAT-BOXER

Apart from that Bachchan will be seen using a singing style popular in Hollywood beat boxing.

Says our source, "For the first time in India, we also have AB doing beat boxing. Where every sound you hear from the background music to the instruments is made vocally. The song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar."
