Sharman Joshi kept taking his illness for granted while shooting for Vidhu Vinod Chopra's next, Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
Shooting was stalled for a few days only after a doctor was summoned on sets and the actor was advised rest as he was suffering from conjunctivitis.
Doctor's advice
A source says, "Sharman had been unwell for quite a few days but ignored it, blaming fatigue and continued to shoot. When he got worse, a doctor was called and the diagnosis was conjunctivitis, a contagious eye ailment.
The actor was told to stay home till he recovered or people on the sets would also get infected."
The film's official spokerperson says, Sharman got an eye infection last week. We had to cancel shoot only for a day. We took a break that day and started work the next day.
He continued till the point that he could.
The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani's assistant, Rajesh Mhapuskar and is a family drama/comedy. Shooting is expected to be wrapped up by October this year.
