"Ranveer is a super talent and from a very respectful family. None of this stuff happened as reported. He remains a dear friend and somebody whose work I admire and look forward to seeing on screen again, " Ranbir said in a statement.
Rumours were rife that Ranveer, who shot to fame after the success of "Band Baaja Baaraat", infuriated Ranbir when he asked him to play the remixed version of "Dum maaro dum" song that stars his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone again and again and started discussing the actress at length.
However, Ranbir insists that there is no truth in the story.
"As a stance, Ranbir doesn't believe in entertaining and clarifying such reports, however in this case, he has decided to set the record straight as too much is being written about him without verifying the facts, " said a source.
"Ranbir is very upset with rumors of these rifts with his friends and wants to clarify that there is absolutely no truth to it, " the source added.
