Ace Bollywood director Karan Johar turns 39 on Wednesday.

Karan has been known for his family-based films like ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham'.

He made his dream directorial debut in 1998 at the age of 26 with his film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'.

In 2011 KJo, as he is popularly called in Bollywood, will gift his fans the remake of ‘Agneepath'.

The film is supposed to hit the big screen in between the release of two most anticipated films of the year- "Ra. One' and ‘Don 2'.

The film is directed by Karan Malhotra, while Karan Johar will be producing it.

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan that Amitabh Bachchan had played in the original flick.

The film will also feature Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor.

Besides, Karan will also start filming his teen-based movie- ‘Student Of The Year' this July and will feature new faces like Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.
