Jackie Shroff's generosity and his contribution towards charitable causes is fairly known but few people know that the kind-hearted actor goes out of his way to help out friends and give them their due.

Ask music director Sujit Shetty, who only recently struck a friendship with Jackie and has come to treasure it ever since. Shetty, who makes his debut as a full-fledged music director with Kushant Nandy's "Humdum", bagged the film quite coincidentally when Jackie happened to sing one of his compositions to friends, Kushant being one of them.

"Kushant liked the song that Jackie was humming and asked him about it after which he made me hear the script and signed me on after he listened to my compositions," Shetty reveals, adding that the song Jackie was humming is one of his favourite compositions, reports Bollywood Trade.

"He is a great friend and has taken a fondness to my kind of music. He wants me to compose the music for his film some day," says the music director who has also been signed by John Mathew Matthan to compose a couple of songs for his Ajay Devgan-Shahid Kapur starrer.
