After a successful stint as a host of "Dadagiri" on Zee Bangla in 2010, Ganguly, 38, agreed to host the game show, which will go on air Monday on Mahuaa Bangla at 9 p.m.
Quiz master Siddhartha Basu is producing both the shows under BIG Synergy, which also produced the previous Hindi versions of the game-show.
Contestants will attempt 15 questions for a prize money of Rs.10 million.
"We want to scale new heights and set a benchmark in creating local language content and 'Ke Hobey Banglar Kotipoti' is one such show from the repertoire of exciting programmes, " said Yubaraj Bhattacharya, CEO of Mahuaa Bangla.
On the same day, Bhojpuri version of the show will go on air on Mahuaa TV with actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha as the host.
Siddharth Basu first brought "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" to India as "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC) in 2000 with Amitabh Bachchan as the host and it was hugely successful. Big B hosted the second season as well.
Although the third season was hosted by Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh returned with "KBC 4" and he will continue to host the fifth season as well, which will start in Aug 15.
